Psychotherapy Services

The therapists, counselors, and other mental health professionals at our behavioral health centers use a variety of psychotherapy modalities to help you uncover the strength within yourself to make changes. Our private practice's primary approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT counselors aim to help clients identify the dysfunctional, negative thoughts they might be having. These thoughts have an impact on emotions, which can then trigger problem behaviors. Through emotional wellness counseling and cognitive therapy, clients will learn to identify negative thoughts and restructure those thoughts in order to improve their ability to cope with stress, anxiety, and/or depression. Specific homework assignments are given to the client, and those assignments are then processed in the next session. CBT has been scientifically proven to reduce symptoms in clients who have depression and anxiety disorders.

Other approaches utilized include EMDR therapy and treatments, Internal Family Systems (IFS,) Trauma-Informed Therapy, Humanistic, Positive Psychology, and Pastoral Counseling. Psychotherapy can be incredibly helpful in the treatment of:
