What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT?)

CBT is a form of psychotherapy that ties dysfunctional thoughts to emotions, and then to behaviors that can be problematic. Our goal is to reduce your symptoms and help you discover effective coping skills to restructure the negative thoughts that are impacting your behaviors and your life. CBT is goal-focused, and the only form of psychotherapy that has been scientifically proven to decrease anxiety.

How often will I come to therapy, and how long will I be in therapy?

Every client's goals are different. Some clients will need a counseling session once every week, while others can be seen once a month for maintenance sessions. Our goal is to get you out of therapy and back to living as soon as possible.
