With a focus on team-building, open communication, and acceptance, girls learn the important skills of assertiveness, personal boundary-setting, and the gift of courage. Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Take your therapy session on the road and explore how nature and the gentle presence of horses can assist you on the path to healing. Whether you are struggling with a trauma history or feeling disconnected due to chronic stress, an on-site therapy session at the barn is always a lesson in mindfulness. Being horseback is not a requirement for these sessions, and in fact, many clients find that grooming a horse while talking or just being in the presence of a horse can assist them in feeling revived and reconnected. Additional ground exercises with equine partners may be utilized to help clients achieve their personal goals in a unique way.
